This spring, the Kynock Foundation sent six different student groups to experience the magic of live theater. Students attended performances including the musical debut of Wonder, the Broadway hit Suffs, the beloved children’s classic Charlotte’s Web, and Shakespeare’s timeless love story Romeo and Juliet.
In addition, the Foundation welcomed Boston-based youth dance organization OrigiNation and spoken word poet Amanda Shea to perform at the Community Charter School of Cambridge’s Black History Month Community Meeting, giving students the opportunity to experience an inspiring live performance in their own school community.
Altogether, the Foundation helped bring meaningful performing arts experiences to more than 350 students this spring, putting us well on our way toward our goal of serving 500 students by the end of the year.
