Kevin C. Kynock, known to his students as Mr. Kynock, taught English and theater at Boston College High School for more than 40 years. In that time, he shaped scores of students to have the same passion for the arts as he did. Many of Kevin’s students went on to successful careers in the performing arts. And for those who didn’t go into the arts professionally, many of them maintain a lifelong appreciation for the arts.

Kevin’s list of life accomplishments were impressive on their own – a fellow at the Royal Shakespeare Company, decades as an acting coach, 40 years as an English teacher, and many statewide accolades for his theater students in arts competitions – but he always saw inspiring the creativity of his students as his greatest achievement. Kynock alumni have gone on to write and act for network television shows, perform on Broadway, sing for national music touring companies, and more.

Today, the Foundation honors Kevin’s legacy by continuing to be a source of inspiration for students of all backgrounds.
